Theatre programs
Manuscripts
This series contains programs for American and international theatres and events. Majority of the programs are related to Los Angeles movie and music theatres, but also includes materials from San Francisco, New York, Chicago, and other states. Programs are either loose, printed as booklets, or custom bound for Behymer. Some programs were physically disbound by Huntington Library staff in the mid-20th century for conservation purposes. Many of the bound programs are fragile and contain red rot. Of note in the collection are complete sets of programs for the Grand Opera House and the Los Angeles Theatre. Also found in the international subseries is a program in Box 43, Folder 10 for Deutches Opernhaus, the 1936 Berlin Olympic Games held in Nazi Germany.
