This notebook contains David F. Day's research on Junius. It contains lists of a variety of works about Junius, his possible identity, those who may have known him, etc., often with annotation to the left side in different ink, stating "I have it," or "To be procured." The list of works continues chronologically off and on throughout, sometimes with summaries, and annotations. The notebook also includes notes about the different people who could have been Junius including Sir Philip Francis, Benjamin Franklin, and George Grenville. There are also additional notes, clippings, several loose letters by John Edmands of the Mercantile Library of Philadelphia, and a cabinet photograph of David F. Day.

    This small group is made up of three letters pertaining to British writer Junius. The first letter is by Charles Lloyd to George Grenville (both of whom are suspected of being Junius), 1767 January 6; the second letter is by J. Lyttelton to William Roberts (Baron Thomas Lyttelton was also a possible Junius), 1771 November 29; and the third letter is by Edward Twisleton to William Thomas, 1870 October 25, and he writes about Baron Thomas Lyttelton and Junius.

It describes Thomas Day's early childhood in England working at various factories to suppport his family; his conversion to Mormonism; his work as a missionary in England; the voyage across the Atlantic Ocean; his life in Council Bluffs, Iowa, and in Utah at Kanarraville, Circleville, Saint George, Salt Lake City, and Spanish Fork; and his contact with Native Americans while a missionary and in traveling.
