The street on the left, Chestnut, has numerous houses and low apartment buildings on both sides, and is lined with parked cars. The Pike is along the beach on the right, with a roller coaster, rides, and shops, and beyond that is the pier. Writing in white in bottom left corner reads "Pierce ; Phto".

There are hundreds of people and dozens of umbrellas on the beach, and a large number of people in the water as well. The spiral slide in the center and the buildings along the shore are part of the Pike amusement park. A pier extends into the water on the far right. A panoramic view of the Fourth of July crowd at the beach in Long Beach. There are hundreds of people, in a mixture of suits and dresses, and bathing suits. Many of the people are sitting beneath the dozens of beach umbrellas on the left side of the image. Beyond the umbrellas is the Pike, an amusement park with shops and rides, like the tall spiral slide in the background. Further in the distance, on the right, a pier extends into the water. Writing in white in the center of the image reads "Long Beach, Calif. - July 4th, 1923". Farther to the right is more writing in white which reads "Photo No. 268 ; The Aerograph Co. ; 1763 W. Vernon ; L.A. - Calif."

Armistice Day parade, sailors and marines, Long Beach. November 11, 1922

A panoramic view of the 1922 Armistice Day Parade in Long Beach. Service men in uniform are marching in formation on Ocean Avenue, past Lord & Taylor, Hotel Schuyler, and Hotel Kinnebac, after having turned right off of Pine. Most of the marching men are sailors, with the exception of a few rows of marines at the far left. Both Ocean and Pine are lined with spectators, and vehicles, including a street car, are backed up at the corner. Spectators are also watching from the windows, roofs, and fire escapes of buildings along the parade route.
