  A panoramic view of the grounds and cabins at Camp Seely in the San Bernardino Mountains. A dirt road runs the width of the image, beyond which there are rows of cabins which stretch up the side of a hill. Two boys in the bottom left corner are playing with a ball (possibly a volleyball?) and a group of children are sitting in the shade left of the cabins, on the far side of the road.   Culver City Speedway, Culver City. December 14, 1924

  Visual Materials

  A panoramic view of the short-lived Culver City Speedway. The track, which was only open from 1924 to 1927, was a banked board track near the corner of what are now Culver Boulevard and Overland Avenue. The image is taken from the grandstands, facing the infield where there are hundreds of people and numerous automobiles. Most of the cars are parked in the lot on the far left. Writing in white at bottom of image reads "Speedway Culver City, Calif. Dec. 14 - 1924". There is a stamp to the right of that text which reads "Pettit's Studio ; commercial photographers ; 1416 W.
