  Color folk art prints of English race horses

  Visual Materials

  Four prints adhered to glass, with paint added to the back of the images, possibly in the 19th century. Three are in matching black wood frames with rough wood backings; one is unframed. The images are folk art of men holding horses, with a rural background. At the bottom, text gives the name of the horse, the owner, the races won and prize money. Also on prints: Printed for Robert Sayer at no. 53 Fleet Street and Published 1 July 1770.
