Ledger book
Manuscripts
A store ledger used as a daybook; the volume contains a small number of daybook entries, with the majority of the ledger being blank. The volume is bound in full reverse calf with tooled boards, the spine with four raised bands and black morocco labels; the spine and covers are scuffed with some edge wear and the pages are intact and legible.

A prospectus for Folding paper: technique, design, obsession by Claudia Cohen and Barbara Hodgson, creators of the artists' books Cutting paper and Decorating paper. The book explores the art of folded paper, and will feature some "tipped-in examples from education, toymaking, computational geometry, pleating, origami and packaging. Included will be examples shown in progress, as well as finished pieces, in a variety of papers. The box will house about 15 three-dimensional pieces and a Zhen Xian Bao, a magical Chinese thread box. Brief essays discuss approaches to folding techniques, the process of creating illustrated pieces, and paper choices. The book will be housed in a custom box. The edition of 30 numbered copies, uniformly bound, will be signed by Barbara and Claudia. The binding will have a gold-tooled and stamped leather spine and fore-edge with paste paper over boards."

Volume 1 contains Kimura's history of the Ginza. It is bound in embossed paper-covered boards with a plate mounted on the front cover. In a rice-paper covered slip case with illustrated label on front and text label on spine. Volume 2 is an accordion book or leporello with panoramas of the Ginza running along the top and bottom of the pages. It is bound in publisher's paper covered boards.

This manuscript is in two hands, and seems to follow the text of the copy in the University Library, Cambridge; folios 1 to 22 (half page) are in one hand and folios 22 to the end are in another. Preceding f. 1 is an old printed portrait of Richard III; bound in leather, blind tooled with slipcover, also has modern pencil autograph notes on beginning page.
