Within the folder are 9 outline images for coloring; each is titled with the subject, generally characters from fairy tales. Printed in the lower left-hand corner of each leaf is "Copyright 1888 by L. Prang Co. Boston." Also within the folder are three printed sheets: one contains coloring instructions, one is an informational piece about the set, and the third is a manufacturer's advertisement for Prang's Christmas Cards.

    One boxed set of colored crayons entitled The Valesquez Art Crayon: with Art Book for Coloring. Under the title is the phrase "pronounced Va - Las -Ki- (Reg. U.S. Pat. Off.)". The cover image features two children, a boy and a girl, using the crayons. The cardboard box has a flip lid which reveals a tray of crayons and small sheet of printed images. There are a total of eight images on the sheet, which is folded in half. The pictures depict children from around the world. All 16 of the crayons in the set are present and do not appear to have been used. The images have not been filled in.

The front cover is illustrated with a scene of children who are reading or playing. The title is below the image, within a decorative scroll. The covers are printed on green paper; the back cover is not illustrated. There are 6 sets of images, with two images per set. One of the images is printed in color, the other is intended for coloring. None of the images are signed; there is no date or publisher's information within the book.

    One painting book entitled Color Magic, published by Saalfield Publishing Company, Akron, Ohio, 1929. This book is comprised of 44 unnumbered pages of both color and black and white illustrations. Silhouettes against a rainbow of colors are featured on the front cover; the title appears below the illustration. The back cover duplicates the front cover. "No. 207" is printed in the lower left-hand corner of the front cover. The pastedowns are illustrated. "Copyright, 1929, The Saalfield Publishing Co., Akron, Ohio" is printed on the verso of the title page. Page [5] is informational text entitled "How Colors are Made." The remainder of the pages are illustrations, many of which have been colored in with crayon. "From someone that would love to be your Auntie, Mary [?]" is written in ms., in red crayon, on the front flyleaf. "Helen V." is also written on the front flyleaf, in ms.

    One coloring book entitled Picture Joys for Girls and Boys to Laugh at to Colour & Draw with Pleasant Verses of Life and Fun for Everyone, ca. 1879. The publisher is not given. This coloring book is 28 unnumbered pages in length, and contains illustrations and rhymes for children. There are illustrations on the insides of the front and back covers as well. The front cover illustration is dated 1879. Several of the images have been colored in. "#56 $4.00" is written in ms., in pencil, in the upper right-hand corner of the front cover.

    One boxed set of crayons entitled The Falcon Best Crayons with Color Book, High Grade 14 Colors, No. 163 on the front and "The Falcon Best Crayons, Fine Quality, No. 163" on the reverse. The cover of the box shows a young boy using the crayons to draw in the enclosed coloring book. The cardboard box slides open to reveal the small coloring book and the crayons. The book, The Leisure Hour Drawing Book for Instructive Sketching and Coloring Purposes, contains 16 printed images to color. Of the crayons, only 7 remain intact. Others, including two from a different manufacturer, are in pieces.
