Cabinet card photographs of the Los Angeles Plaza and surrounding buildings, 1887 and 1893, including one with handwriting saying it was the view from the Wills mansion. Two photographs of the home of John Alexander Wills (1819-1891), 501 Buena Vista Street, Los Angeles. Also recorded as 501 Justicia Street. Madeline F. Wills is standing in front of the mansion. Other photographs: Col. William W. Hollister's house "Glen Annie" in Santa Barbara; Catalina Island bath houses and beach, 1890s; and portraits of John B. Coulston, John Wemple Searles, and Dennis Searles (last two are copy prints).

A photograph of the interior of Narumiya Clock Shop in Little Tokyo, Los Angeles, taken in May 1914. The print is on a card mount, which has the photographer's imprint: Fuji, 120 N. San Pedro St., Los Angeles. The image includes glass display cases filled with clocks and watches; three large clocks hanging on the wall; two large safes behind the counter; and a small sign that says Narumiya Co. On the back of the photograph, the shop name, its address, and the date are written in Japanese.

Maynard L. Parker negatives, photographs, and other material consists of 57,893 black-and-white negatives, color transparencies, black-and-white prints, and color prints; 39 presentation albums; and 17 boxes of office records, 1930-1974. Created primarily by Maynard Parker, the archive documents the residential and non-residential work of architects, interior designers, landscape architects, artists, builders, real estate developers, and clients associated with these fields, foremost among them the magazine House Beautiful. Also included in the collection are photographs taken by other individuals, such as architect Cliff May and Parker's assistant, Charles Yerkes.
